About Fleur

I am a contemporary artist with abstract influences, drawn to bold colour and expressive texture. My work is guided by intuition—each stroke holds meaning, and I believe the smallest details often make the biggest impact.

Even as a child, creativity followed me everywhere—my schoolbooks were covered in abstract doodles and patterns. This passion for colour led me to study Makeup Artistry, where faces became my canvases and colour my language. Later, I pursued Graphic Design, where I discovered the beauty of composition, form, and visual storytelling.

After two years living in London, I returned home to Brisbane, Australia where I began a 15 year career in real estate. Yet art was never far away. After viewing more than 2,000 homes, I developed a deep appreciation for design and understood how art transforms a space—how it connects people to a feeling. That experience only strengthened my desire to create.

One pivotal moment came when I stepped into a home that felt like a living art gallery, with soaring five-metre ceilings and walls that begged for expression. It stirred something within me—a knowing that finding something truly unique and meaningful was worth pursuing.

Between busy days, I would create heartfelt canvases, often as gifts for loved ones. I began receiving requests for more. Yet it was the act of giving—a painting made from the heart—that moved me most deeply.

It wasn’t until becoming a mother in my 40's that I felt an undeniable pull to return to my true calling. Motherhood reshaped my perspective—it taught me to slow down, to create with intention, and to focus on what truly matters.
